Learn to Sail When You're Ready
When you're ready to sail, RCYC partners with the North Texas Sailing School, a US Sailing-certified program operating right on the lake. Start with a beginner course and work toward certification. On your timeline, not ours.
Bring the Whole Family
Youth sailing programs, pool access, and a kid-friendly environment make RCYC a place the whole family wants to be. Social membership is for everyone under your roof.
On the Water Without Owning a Boat
Crew on member boats, join a Wednesday night race as a guest, or charter a club boat once you have your sailing legs. RCYC has more ways to get on the water than you'd expect.

The RCYC kitchen serves member dinners on Friday nights, weekend meals, and catered events throughout the year. The bar is cold, the prices are member-priced, and the deck faces west across the water.

When you're ready, RCYC partners with the North Texas Sailing School, a US Sailing-certified program operating right here on the lake. Start with a beginner keelboat course and take it from there. Plenty of members join for the bar and stay for the racing. It happens more than you'd think.

Do I need to know how to sail to join?
Not at all. Social membership has nothing to do with sailing. You're joining a lakefront community with a great restaurant, bar, and a calendar full of events.
Can I upgrade to a full sailing membership later?
Yes. Many Social members eventually catch the sailing bug and upgrade. RCYC makes it easy to move between membership levels as your interests evolve.
What does Social Membership cost?
Dues are set annually. See our Memberships & Dues page for current rates, or contact the club office directly.
Can I bring guests?
Members may bring guests to the clubhouse and most events. Guest policies vary by event; check the club calendar or contact the office.
