RCYC sponsors the sailing clubs of Rockwall-Heath and Rockwall High Schools, providing facilities, equipment, and coaching on Lake Ray Hubbard.
About the Program
Sail for Your School
RCYC is the home base for competitive high school sailing in the Rockwall area. The club sponsors the Rockwall-Heath and Rockwall High School sailing clubs, providing access to facilities, equipment, and coaching that would otherwise be unavailable to student sailors.
The program focuses on double-handed sailing, which means students who have never sailed before can participate right away. No prior experience is required to join. RCYC coaches build skills quickly, and the team competes in the Southeast (SEISA) district circuit under ISSA rules.
High school sailing is a pathway to college sailing. ICSA collegiate programs recruit actively from ISSA programs, and RCYC alumni have gone on to sail at the NCAA level.

We'll Teach You to Sail
Double-handed sailing means you're always on the boat with a partner. New sailors pick up fundamentals quickly in this format, and the social nature of the sport builds team chemistry fast.
