Melges 15 Fleet

Sailing World's 2022 Boat of the Year. Rush Creek's newest and fastest-growing fleet, officially recognized in 2025.

About the Boat

Modern Performance, Pure Fun

The Melges 15 was designed by Reichel/Pugh and first produced in 2020 by Melges Performance Sailboats. It's a two-person fractional sloop with a retractable bowsprit and asymmetric spinnaker, delivering nearly 290 square feet of downwind sail area from a 230-pound hull. Sailing World named it Boat of the Year in 2022, and over 1,000 boats have been delivered globally.

At Rush Creek, the Melges 15 fleet races Sunday afternoons and participates in the Club Championship Series in spring. The fleet also competes at the RCYC Spring and Fall DinghyFest regattas.
