The North Texas Sailing School (NTSS) is an independent, ASA-certified program that operates on Lake Ray Hubbard, offering a full curriculum from Basic Keelboat through offshore cruising and racing clinics. Courses are open to the public and available year-round.
NTSS is the fastest way to go from never having sailed to independently crewing or skippering on the lake. RCYC is not affiliated with NTSS; enrollment, scheduling, and fees are managed directly through their program.

Available Courses
Basic Keelboat
ASA 101 certification. The standard entry-level course for adults with no prior experience.
Basic Cruising
Day sailing and overnight cruising skills on a larger keelboat. Anchoring, nav lights, and crew systems.
Bareboat Cruising
Charter-ready certification for sailors who want to skipper a boat independently on a bareboat charter.
Coastal Cruising
Offshore passage-making fundamentals: celestial nav, weather routing, watch-keeping, and seamanship.
Racing Clinics
Tactical and boat-speed clinics for racers. Topics vary by season. Contact NTSS for current offerings.
