David brings four decades of sailing and business experience. Learning to sail at Gulfport Yacht Club as a child, he sailed collegiately and raced offshore around the Gulf of Mexico. David joined Fort Worth Boat Club in 1997, then relocated to Denver in 2000 for nine years, where he continued racing in the Lightning and Melges 24 classes.

In 2009, David and his family settled near Rush Creek and have spent seventeen years racing in the J/22, IC-24, Melges 24, Flying Scot, and Auxiliary fleets in local and national regattas. David has served the club as regatta chair for the George Griffith, Crawdad Cup, and 4-Points Race.

His approach is steady, organized, and focused on execution. He holds an undergraduate degree from LSU and an MBA from Colorado. His professional work in marketing and business leadership provides practical skills in operations, budgeting, and member experience that benefits Rush Creek.
