Chris Tierney

Chris grew up in Minnesota, in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, with Lake Minnetonka as her favorite. In spring 2010, she met Tom Meyer, whose enthusiasm for sailing on water and ice led her to enroll in adult sailing lessons at the Lake Minnetonka Sailing School. She has been an active crew member ever since.

In 2012, Chris and Tom moved to Texas and joined Rush Creek, where she became an active crew member on the club-owned IC-24s and E Scow while continuing to sail Lake Minnetonka in the summers. In 2014, they competed in the ILYA Championship on Lake Winnebago, qualified for the invite-only Blue Chip Regatta, and had the opportunity to meet 2014 Mystery Skipper Jimmy Spithill.

More recently, Chris has enjoyed crewing on the Melges 15 and has become more involved with the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce to help promote Rush Creek. Off the water, she can be found at The Oasis Pickleball Club, biking at White Rock, or on the golf course.
