The RCYC Spring DinghyFest Regatta is open to all centerboard boats. The expected classes are MC Scow, Sunfish, Flying Scot, ILCA, and Melges 15, as well as a Portsmouth class.
US Olympic Coach Luther Carpenter Roundtable
Luther Carpenter has graciously accepted an invitation to host a “Round Table Clinic of Racing” on Friday, May 16th at 6:00pm. This is the Friday before Dingyfest (May 17-May 18). Mr. Carpenter will focus on dinghy sailing so this will be an informative round table for anyone attending DinghyFest. He’ll also address issues all sailors come across. There will be a short Q&A at the end of the discussion and he may even tell some “war” stories from his time as the most successful US. Olympic coach. All are invited to take part in this Round Table.

Food and beverage purchases: RCYC is not equipped for cash purchases of food and beverages for this regatta. However, reciprocal charges and credit cards are welcome for non-member food and beverage purchases by establishing an account at the time of registration check-in at the club.
Alcohol policy: The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) requires that all alcoholic beverages consumed at the clubhouse, pool area, and surrounding lawn be purchased from the club. Alcoholic beverages purchased from RCYC may not be taken beyond the surrounding lawn, indicated by signs. A three-day TABC membership will be available to age-appropriate non-club members at the time of registration check-in. The legal and responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages purchased elsewhere is acceptable in the parking lot and on boat docks. Regatta participants and guests agree to comply with state and local laws regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages and agree to accept all related risks.
